My business is very boutique. I take on an exclusive number of weddings per year. I adore great food and stimulating people; I'm the one who can't pass a dog or cat without kissing them. My husband Peter and I met during a hot air balloon race as we were floating several thousand feet over the California mountains. He's won several Emmy's for his work as a writer producer for PBS. He often looks over my shoulder to add his artistic bent. We have a young son Philip, who I love dearly. He's a charmer. I love taking walks with him when he's home from school at NYU. We live in Mill Valley in a home built in 1896 and lovingly restored. I'm an adventurer: why walk when I can run. Why drive in the slow lane when there's a fast lane. That's why I ride a scooter and drive a vintage sports car. Naturally, I'm drawn to people who share this zest for excitement and want to celebrate their wedding as much for a hilarious mishap as for the grace and love. I've been a photographer since my early teens and on to study photography and marine biology in college. I have many passions but my favorite is photography, and worked on staff at some of California's biggest newspapers. I travel internationally on assignment and my photographs have garnered two Pulitzer nominations and many awards. My documentary approach stems from my ability to see a pivotal picture as it happens, to capture the moments that count. On your special day, I'm with you to capture your experience in beautiful light, insuring that your album will be filled with unique images that express your story, your emotions, and your happiness. For me, the wedding begins hours before the ceremony; if desired I start the day with the bride and groom's preparations, continue through the service and reception, following you until the party ends. Nothing is routine in my quest to tell your story visually; I bring my artful eye and experience to your unique wedding, to help you and your family relax knowing that you'll have beautiful pictures of all those candid, intimate moments so they can live forever. I have worked many venues in the U.S. and abroad. Locally a few places I have photographed are Meadowood, Cavallo Point Lodge, Corinthian Yacht Club, Palace Hotel, Mandarin Oriental, Fairmont, Solage, Sonoma Mission Inn, Flood Mansion, Ritz-Carlton and Cliff House. I am the creative visualist on your extraordinary day. |
